Chrono Cross Remaster

Nintendo first broke the news of the remaster of a classic PS1 game, Chrono Cross, for the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. This remaster, titled “The Radical Dreamers Edition,” has added some useful features, like being able to turn off enemy encounters, better graphics, and an enhanced soundtrack. It also includes Radical Dreamers, which was a text-adventure game released only in Japan on the Satellaview. This game is a side story for Chrono Trigger and it’s really cool to see it included.

Chrono Cross takes place in the same world as Chrono Trigger, and acts like a spiritual successor more than a sequel, with a separate cast of characters. The protagonist, Serge, accidentally enters an alternate universe, where the other Serge died as a small child so no one recognizes him. Serge can recruit up to 40 other characters to join the adventure, and there are 12 different endings. The game is set for an April 7, 2022 release date.
